Based at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock (2010-2011) and the University of Aberdeen, Frances Wilkins is a lecturer and researcher in Scottish music and Ethnomusicology. She received her PhD from the University of Aberdeen where she now works as a visiting lecturer. Her research interests include traditional music performance and transmission, and the transatlantic movement of Scottish musical practice and performance.
