About
David Smith is a musicologist and performer. He specialises in early keyboard music from England and the Netherlands, English consort and lute music, Peter Philips (1560/61-1628) and Scottish manuscripts of instrumental music.
He is an active performer, particularly as an organist, recorder and continuo player.
He currently combines the role of Head of Music at the University of Aberdeen with that of Master of Chapel and Ceremonial Music.
